Breath


Breath is life. When you control your breath, you control your mind. When you control your mind, you control your life.

Awareness of breath is the gift of yoga to all of us. A conscious inhalation and exhalation has the power to change any and all situations.

Start by bringing your attention to your breath. Is it warm or cool? Slow, shallow? Notice. And then begin to lengthen and deepen your breath. Inhale for a count of 5 and exhale for a count of 5.

Consciously soften the area around your waist and stomach. Using your imagination breathe into your blood, your nerves, your organs, your insides. Keep up and you will be kept up.
